Hon. Remy Chukwunyere

Hon. Remy Chukwunyere is an accomplished entrepreneur, startup ecosystem builder, and business coach with over 20 years of experience in Nigeria’s public and private sectors. He is a Fellow of the Swedish Institute’s Impact Pioneers Program and the Abuja Leadership Center at the University of Abuja. He holds an Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Leadership from the Quantic School of Business and Technology (USA) and an MSc in Public Governance and Leadership from the University of Abuja. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Ugwumba Leadership Center, where he leads the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, a program that has supported the birth of more than 5,000 startups and built a thriving community of over 20,000 young entrepreneurs across Africa. He also represents Nigeria as an Ecosystem Builder at Founders Lair (Singapore), connecting innovative startups to global funding opportunities. Hon. Chukwunyere has held several leadership roles, including Policy and Strategy Advisor at the Rochas Foundation and Director General of the Imo State Directorate for Employment (2014–2019). Earlier in his career, he founded the African Youth Development Foundation, which partnered with USAID, DFID, and other international organizations on youth and community development programs. A published author and global visibility strategist, Hon. Remy Chukwunyere continues to inspire and empower the next generation of African leaders. He now serves as a board member of Empower Future Initiative, where he brings his wealth of experience in leadership, governance, and entrepreneurship development to advance the organization’s mission.
